June 9th: making "Project Kribi" happen or "Help with a smile"!
June 6, 2014
On June 9th we'll kickstart (on IndieGoGo, ha!) our first crowdfunding campaign! Who said helping out shouldn't be fun? Well, we'll prove once again that not only our approach to helping people is different, but even our campaigns are different. Besides our (very) short promo clips announcing the upcoming campaign*, next Monday you'll find us on IndieGoGo.com (under the Community section) with a fresh and mobilizing surprise feature!
See the picture with the ancient boat and two of our young friends? Well, our aim in this project will be to provide the cooperative of young fishermen that we've set up in Kribi with all the modern equipments they need to turn their subsistance based activity into a profitable fishing business.
As you know, we believe that only the emergence of a dynamic business environment will help people from these poor communities thrive. Only this will put an end to the logic of subsistence and aid dependancy/expectancy - not humanitarian calls, not intricate state agencies, not inefficient aid models. Our first project in Africa, this fishery in Kribi, Cameroon, will only be possible with your help!
Watch and pass the word to your friends and acquaintances who share the same values and help us meet our goal!
More details to come.
And remember, sharing is caring! We thank you all!
